Your result

Let’s calculate.

Use the Calculate button to see your result.

Review the method below for assumptions and conventions.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter wall perimeter, height, roll width, roll length, trim per strip.
  2. Select Calculate to view the result.
  3. Check the method and assumptions below before using the result.

The method, explained

Strips needed = ceil(perimeter/roll width). Strips per roll = floor(roll length/(height + trim)). Rolls = ceil(needed/per roll).

A WORKED EXAMPLE

Using wall perimeter = 18 m, height = 2.5 m, roll width = 0.53 m, roll length = 10 m, trim per strip = 0.1 m, the result is 12 rolls. Change these example inputs to match your task; use the method above to check each step.

What to keep in mind

No pattern-repeat allowance or deduction for openings; adjust trim for the selected paper. A material-quantity estimate, not a structural design or building-code check. Confirm site measurements, supplier coverage and waste before ordering.

Common questions

Which inputs does this calculation need?

Estimate rolls from wall perimeter, height and usable roll dimensions. Enter wall perimeter in m, height in m, roll width in m, roll length in m, trim per strip in m. The filled example is editable and is not a saved personal record.

How should I interpret the result?

No pattern-repeat allowance or deduction for openings; adjust trim for the selected paper. A material-quantity estimate, not a structural design or building-code check. Confirm site measurements, supplier coverage and waste before ordering.
