The method, explained
Tip = bill × tip percentage ÷ 100. Amount per person = (bill + tip) ÷ people.
A bill of 100 with a 15% tip totals 115. Split between two people, the amount is 57.50 each.
Understanding your result
Check the total bill including tip before splitting. Rounding each share to the smallest currency unit can leave a remainder that one person needs to cover.

Does the bill include tax?
