The method, explained
Bytes = ceil(width × height × bits per pixel/8). MiB = bytes/1,048,576.
Using width = 6000, height = 4000, bits per pixel = 24, the result is 68.6645508 MiB. Change these example inputs to match your task; use the method above to check each step.
What to keep in mind
Excludes row padding, metadata, file headers and compression. An ideal geometric or exposure estimate. Lens behavior, stabilization, sensor crop and scene conditions may change practical results.
