How to use this tool
- Enter titrant concentration, titrant equivalence volume, analyte sample volume, analyte coefficient, titrant coefficient.
- Select Calculate to view the result.
- Check the method and assumptions below before using the result.
The method, explained
Analyte molarity = titrant molarity × titrant volume × analyte coefficient ÷ (sample volume × titrant coefficient). Both volumes use the same unit.
Using titrant concentration = 0.1 mol/L, titrant equivalence volume = 25 mL, analyte sample volume = 20 mL, analyte coefficient = 1, titrant coefficient = 1, the result is 0.125 mol/L. Change these example inputs to match your task; use the method above to check each step.
Understanding your result
Only when the stoichiometric mole ratio is 1:1. For other reactions, include the balanced coefficients rather than assuming equal reacting mole amounts.
What to keep in mind
Assumes a known balanced reaction and an accurately detected equivalence point. The indicator endpoint may differ. Educational calculation only; use validated procedures for laboratory work.
