The method, explained

Pavers = ceil[area/(nominal length × nominal width) × (1 + waste/100)].

A WORKED EXAMPLE

Using area to cover = 20 m², nominal paver length = 0.2 m, nominal paver width = 0.1 m, waste allowance = 10 %, the result is 1100 pavers. Change these example inputs to match your task; use the method above to check each step.
