The method, explained
Convert to the base unit, then divide by the target factor. One minute is 60 seconds; one hour is 3,600 seconds; a fixed day is 86,400 seconds.
1.5 hours = 90 minutes; 1 week = 168 hours.
What to keep in mind
Days are fixed 24-hour durations here. Calendar days during daylight saving changes may differ. Months and years are intentionally excluded.
Common questions
Why are months missing?
Calendar months vary from 28 to 31 days, so there is no universal fixed-duration factor.
Is this a time-zone converter?
No. It converts durations, not locations or clock timestamps.
