The method, explained

Each full seven-day period contains five weekdays. Remaining days are counted only when they fall Monday through Friday.

A WORKED EXAMPLE

Monday September 14 to Monday September 21, 2026 contains 5 weekdays when the end date is excluded.

What to keep in mind

Public holidays are not subtracted. This uses a Saturday/Sunday weekend and may not match every country or workplace.

Are public holidays excluded?

No. Holiday calendars vary by location and year. Subtract applicable weekday holidays separately.

Is the final date included?

No. The interval includes the start and excludes the end. Select the following date to include the final day.
