The method, explained

Tiles = round up[area × (1 + waste/100)/(tile length × tile width/10000)].

A WORKED EXAMPLE

Using area to cover = 20 m², tile length = 60 cm, tile width = 60 cm, waste allowance = 10 %, the result is 62 tiles. Change these example inputs to match your task; use the method above to check each step.
